SSK Attack Submarine Galleys : As proposal manager, I led a bid that positioned my client as a prime contractor for the Royal Canadian Navy, focusing on the improvement of Canada’s Hunter-Killer Victoria Class Submarines. This success was achieved through team assembly and delivering a fully compliant RFP to the crown.
Fast Growth in a New Vertical: I guided the founders of a manufacturing and maintenance company to quickly succeed in the Canadian aerospace and defence sector. After two unproductive years with traditional consultants, they achieved their breakthrough, generating $20M of contracts and investments in one year in this new vertical. And that’s just the tip of thier iceberg
Winning Grants & Non Dilutive Investments: Since the inception of Dewis Ventures, I have successfully secured nearly $16M in non-dilutive funding for clients. This includes grants from Innovative Solutions Canada – Testing Stream, Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS), ABCMI Maritime Infrastructure, BC Manufacturing Job Fund, and others, In addition to many Industrial Technological Benefits (ITB) investments.
Proven Success in Government Contracting: I’ve won four multi-year, multi-million-dollar contracts with the Government of Canada for Canadian small to medium sized businesses. My efforts have also resulted in multiple standing offers and supplier arrangements with both federal and provincial governments, alongside numerous smaller task authorizations, and commercial subcontracts with A&D primes.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to sit on numerous boards and round tables comprising diverse companies, communities, people, and points of view. I’ve successfully sold to Hollywood giants like SyFy, Fox, ABC, and Disney, to aerospace leaders such as Boeing, Lockheed, and Babcock, as well as the Canadian government, securing many multi-year multi-million dollar contracts.
